			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Since moving into the suburbs, I have developed a new hobby: snow boarding. Snow boarding is great fun, and the reason I got started is because I used to go surfing when I lived by the beach, and when I moved away from the coast I had to find something new to satisfy my fix for extreme, white-knuckle sport. When I moved to my new college, everyone was talking about snow boarding, and a lot of my peers considered snow boarding an excellent hobby. When they asked if I wanted to attend, I was more than happy to come along and take part.</p>
<p>The next thing I knew I was at the slopes, and I had to let everyone know that I had absolutely no experience of the sport whatsoever. They appeared to understand, and everyone was really helpful when it came to explaining how to get started. In fact, there were so many people trying to teach me what to do, I actually found that I would rather just one person would teach me at a time. The next thing I knew, I was going down the slope, and had no idea how to break appropriately, or how to turn. OK, so I&#8217;ll admit that getting tuition from a bunch of teenagers was hardly the best idea, but it ensured that I didn’t hold back on anything, and I certainly got off to a flying start. The fact is that you realise it is mostly just common sense, and the thrills that you get are amazing. When you are going down a slope at 30 miles an hour and you do not have to put in any effort to accelerate: that is like flying.<br />

The fact is that I also enjoy snow boarding because it is a great social activity for everyone to enjoy. I had just moved to a new area, and snow boarding really gave me an opportunity to get to know people, and is actually the reason why I am friends with the people that I hang around with at the moment. After visiting the slopes a few times, my new friends and I have discovered more common ground, so now we enjoy other activities together, along with the occasional visit to the slopes of course!  I’d recommend snowboarding as a great hobby for anyone, particularly those with a passion for extreme sports, or anyone with a sense of adventure.  And it’s really great when you actually get involved &#8211; there’s a whole culture attached to it.</p>
<p>Some of my friends suggested taking up skiing, but this is something I think I&#8217;ll avoid. It is almost like trying to compare a car and a motor bike. A car maybe burns less gas, it may be safer and may even turn corners with more precision, but what would you rather travel in for sheer thrills? Skiing just looks boring compared to snow boarding and the more I get into snow boarding the more my opinion is re-affirmed.</p>
<p>I am glad that I moved away, and I am glad that I managed to find a sport that I enjoy more than surfing. I am hoping to start entering into competitions soon, however I have a lot of catching up to do with my new friends first!</p>

The formation and techniques that experienced skydivers do as they jump, free fall and slowly descend can be breathtaking for the average spectator. If it is exciting for the audience, then it is no doubt twice as exciting for the skydiver himself. But while most skydivers focus on perfecting their skills and using the best and latest equipment, some of them neglect another important aspect of skydiving. This is the parachuting gear.</p>
<p>The basic parachuting gear is the jumpsuit. Others use a wing suit. Any skydiver will tell you the importance of a jumpsuit. Imagine if one wears jeans and a tank top during a dive. The clothes would well be torn into pieces because of the pressure from the winds. A jumpsuit protects you from the winds, sun and other elements.</p>
<p>It also protects you as you land. Not all landings are perfect. Others land on their back, or your parachute can be caught in a tree, causing you to bruise against the branches. A good jumpsuit must be able to protect you from scratches, cuts and bruises. Aside from the jumpsuit, other pieces which a skydiver must have include protective gear. Helmet, padding and spinal protector are just among the few gadgets that you must wear. Choose the gear that would best suit you.<span id="more-755"></span></p>
<p>In choosing the right gear, choose one which is made of some durable material, one that does not easily tear or break when exposed to heavy winds. It must also be heat-resistant and waterproof.</p>
<p>Also, make sure that the suit fits you well. A suit that is too tight restricts your movement, aside from the fact that it may break or tear upon pressure. One that is too loose may also open easily when subjected to strong winds.</p>
<p>There are some sports shops or specialty shops which sell these types of apparel. You may also visit some websites and make an online purchase. Seek advice from your trainer or other professional skydivers as to which apparel or style is better in terms of performance and cost.</p>
<p>If you want a perfect-fitting jumpsuit, you can have it tailor-made. There are some tailoring shops which specialize in making skydiving gear. Although this may be a little more costly than the ready-made ones, the comfort that a perfect-fitting jumpsuit brings to the user is priceless.</p>
<p>While a new jumpsuit may be ideal, for those who are in a tight budget, there are also used materials that you can find. Ask the sales person from your local sports store or some specialty shop if they have any second-hand apparel for sale. Or your new friends in the skydiving club may have some extra gear that they can sell to you.</p>
<p>Because of the forces of nature that a skydiver is exposed to, it is therefore important to invest on some hard-wearing parachuting gear. The gear need not be expensive. The important thing to consider is your comfort and your safety. The gear must be able to protect you as you go through the experience of skydiving.</p>
<p>And it must be comfortable so that you will enjoy the experience. Otherwise, all the skydiving lessons and practice that you did will be put to waste if you don&#8217;t wear the perfect gear during the dive.</p>

<p>The first thing you will want to teach anyone who is learning the basics of dribbling is where to set all of their strength.  Many beginners will try to use their palms when they are beginning to dribble.  Instead, you will want to focus on teaching how to use and strengthen the fingertips for better dribbling.  The wrist will then be able to control the movement of the fingers, giving more possibilities for controlling the ball.  You will also want to teach beginners how to dribble a lower ball, giving them the ability to maneuver through defense with more options.  While they are dribbling lower, you will want to make sure that they are able to keep their head up and away from the ball so they can make their next move.  <span id="more-747"></span></p>
<p>After you have the basics of dribbling down, then you can add extra techniques into the bounce.    The first of these is learning how to pivot while dribbling.  When you are doing basic dribbles, your feet will be hip width apart and your knees will be bent.  When you pivot while dribbling a basketball, you will be able to turn your body while you are dribbling into a completely different position, giving you more lead way to get past defense and make a basket.  Another maneuver that you can do will combine foot work with the dribble.  For example, you can fake moving one way, then turn to move the other, giving you an open shot at a basket.  You can do this same thing by feinting, meaning that you dribble the ball enough to move the defense out of your way, giving a clear shot to the basket.</p>
<p>Dribbling beyond the basics is learning how to combine footwork with the way that the ball is moving.  When you begin to teach others how to move with the ball and how to combine different actions of movement with the game, you will have the ability to give options for moving past the other team and into the basket you want to make.</p>

However, this is not the case when it comes to fly fishing.  Of course the fly fisherman wants to catch a fish.  He actually devotes an extraordinary amount of energy, time and ingenuity to doing just that. But there is more to fly fishing than just catching a fish. He is interested in the activity itself.  It is the act of fishing from which the fly fisherman derives so much pleasure, not just from the end result.</p>
<p>What is it about fly fishing that makes it so enticing?  There is one main physical difference between other types of fishing and fly fishing. That difference may be the key to the enjoyment so many find in the sport of fly fishing.  In all other forms of casting, the fisherman is throwing a weight on the end of his line, whether it is a lure or a sinker. Certainly, this does require a great amount of precision, but it is essentially like throwing a rock in the water.  The fly fisherman, on the other hand, is casting only the weight of the line itself, which is spread out over 30 or 40 feet of line. The tiny fly at the end of the line is virtually weightless, and it provides no momentum at all. Fly fishing requires precision, delicacy, a gentle fine touch.</p>
<p>Many fly fishermen want to learn as much as they can about their sport, not just about fishing techniques. That includes the study of the insects that the fish feed on, studying the freshwater habitats, leaning about the  history and lore of their sport, as well as the techniques of fly casting and fly tying. <p>Courses to learn new sports recreation skills can be found online and in larger cities.  You can learn and participate in team sports through the local Y and other organizations.  Team sports recreation activities you might like to participate in include softball, baseball, basketball, and sometimes soccer for younger people.  Another team sport you might enjoy is bowling.  Regardless of your skill level you can find a bowling team to have fun with.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The world we live in is growing increasingly fast-paced, stressful, and filled with responsibility.  Because of this, everyone needs some time to relax and have some recreation.  Our modern way of life also tends to be sedentary, and the meals we eat are often not very healthy.  Exercise is a very important component in renewing us.  For these reasons, sports recreation activities are some of the best recreation we can choose.  There are many options for hobbies to provide sports recreation.  You may even want to learn some new recreational sports skills.</p>
<p>Courses to learn new sports recreation skills can be found online and in larger cities.  You can learn and participate in team sports through the local Y and other organizations.  Team sports recreation activities you might like to participate in include softball, baseball, basketball, and sometimes soccer for younger people.  Another team sport you might enjoy is bowling.  Regardless of your skill level you can find a bowling team to have fun with.</p>
<p>Individual sports recreation activities you can learn and participate in include golf, tennis, running, aerobic dance, gymnastics, and horseback riding.  Don&#8217;t overlook bicycling and weight training too.  Many of these sports can be learned at the local Y as well.  For some of these, you&#8217;ll want to have a friend to play against or share the exerience with.  Many runners, for instance, like to run with a friend.  And games like tennis and handball really need cooperation for best results.<span id="more-465"></span></p>
<p>If you&#8217;d rather, you can learn about sports recreation skills online.  You can find courses to teach almost any sport or activity you can think of including underwater hockey, fly-fishing, and para-gliding in the Alps!  Of course, unless you can get some hands-on experience you&#8217;ll only have the theories of the sport.  Still, online courses are a good way to get a taste of different sports and recreational activities you might someday want to try out.</p>
<p>A really fun sports recreation game you might get a chance to play is ping pong.  Ping pong, or table tennis as it is sometimes called, is played on a table with rubber coated paddles and extremely lightweight plastic balls.  You must hit the ball with your paddle so that it strikes the table and clears the net before your opponent strikes it and bounces it back to you.  One way to become more adept at ping pong and increase your chance of winning is to sometimes hit the ball harder than at other times.  This keeps your opponent guessing what you will do next.</p>
<p>Sports recreation activities are a great way to get exercise and relieve stress.  They are also a lot of fun.  Whether with friends or alone, everyone needs a favorite sports recreation to take part in.</p>

<p>Bowling (like any other game) has its set of etiquette that help make games more safe, enjoyable and fun. One of the very basic don&#8217;ts in bowling is the &#8220;no food and no drink&#8221; policy. Although many say that this bowling etiquette is irrelevant, any water spill or food bits on the approach could lead to slipping and serious injuries. Another don&#8217;t in bowling games is the excessive bantering of the opponent. Having a sense of sportsmanship can make your bowling game a professional and a fun one. Another few of the many other actions that players need to abide by in a bowling game are not to move around the lane and swinging the bowling ball around. Once you have completed your turn, simply return to your seat and do not start randomly practicing in open space. Moreover if you have only rolled your first bowl, do not go on and off asking for the score.</p>
<p>One of the main do&#8217;s of the game is to stay focused and set a target throughout your game, mainly enjoying the game and working on improving your skills. Stick to your team and don&#8217;t go about wandering the place. You need to be mentally and physically ready and available when you&#8217;re up next. Observing bowling etiquette can make your game fun for you as well as others. Following those very simple rules and etiquette can make the game easier going for all parties in the bowling game and you can make it more beneficial since you get to focus and bowl professionally. Bowling is a great way to socialize so do not be shy to share a few words with others. Make friends with bowlers from the other lanes, they might be able to share some bowling tricks with you.</p>
<p>In conclusion, the bowling alley and atmosphere needs to be friendly for all and within most establishments, rude manners are simply not tolerated. You need to be aware of these small etiquette to adapt to the game. If you are still a beginner, a good idea might be going to a game and being part of the audience. If you are more of a learn through- practice person, simply observe and learn.</p></div>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Swimming is as old as the Stone Age. Writing references can be dated back to 2000 BC and drawings were found in the cave of swimmers near Sura, Egypt. Competitions in swimming started somewhere around 1800, in Europe. Until then the breaststroke was very famous and John Arthur Trudgen started the front crawl or the trudgen in 1873. It was added as a sport in the 1896 Athens Summer Olympics, which were the first modern Olympics. Butterfly stroke was recognized in 1952, before which it was known as a variation of breaststroke.<br />
The water within the human body has a little less density compared to that of the water outside, which forces the body to the surface. To move forward, the water around should be pushed backward and to float, the water should be pushed downward. The pushing is done by using hands as paddles and kicking with the legs. It takes less effort to swim and float in the ocean than in a swimming pool because salty water has more density than fresh water because of the salts.<br />
The basic principle involved in all swimming styles is that the body should be kept parallel to the surface of the water and the hands should be positioned in outward direction, inline with the head, so as to cut though the water and reduce the friction. The more the body is slanted, the more the drag. Also, by extending the hands, the average length at the water line is increased which is directly proportional to the increase in the speed.  <span id="more-448"></span><br />
Swimmers who have a good acceleration of hips have a good hand force. The force of the hand is related to the rotation of the hips and not the muscles in the arms. The stronger the hip muscles, the more the torque generated. The body should be in an incline position so as to reduce the frontal cross-section and drag. By doing so the shoulders do not generate bow waves and the water line is not broken.<br />
According to hydrodynamics, the movement of the hands and legs, from back to front, should be as much in air as in water, during the recovery stroke. The shoulder rotation is necessary for the forward motion and it requires strong abdominal muscles. Some of the swimmers flatten their palms to move the water backward and some spread their fingers slightly. Breathing is another important factor to be worked on while swimming. Correct way of breathing can increase performance and decrease fatigue. The body should be trained to work on less amount of oxygen because professional swimmers take breath in one stroke and let it out slowly till the fourth stroke. Taking a deep breath and submerging in the water, while kicking in the water, can control breath.<br />
Children can be made to join summer camps that give swimming lessons. Swimmers need to wear body skin kind of swimsuits so as to reduce the drag and beginners can use aids such as Styrofoam Board until they learn swimming properly. Beginners should concentrated on increasing the strength along with the other techniques.</p>
<p>Swimming is a great exercise as there is less impact on the joints and bones because the density of water is similar to the density of the human body and the water supports the body. It is usually used to treat people with certain disabilities and injuries. Swimming is an aerobic exercise and is a good way to beat stress.<br />
The problems and hazards related to swimming are drowning and water inhalation in a contaminated environment. Extreme exhaustion can lead to unconsciousness. Weaker people should avoid it because it can be a cause to heart attacks, stroke, shallow water blackout and carotid sinus syncope. Excess water intake in salty water can form foam in the lungs, which effects breathing badly. Regular swimmers get exostosis or swimmers&#8217; ear, which is abnormal growth in the ear canal and athlete&#8217;s foot, which is bacterial infection in between the toes. Chemicals in the swimming pools can cause skin and eye irritation and can even discolor the hair. Asthmatics should avoid excess swimming in swimming pool, as the chlorine inhalation will affect their lungs badly.  While swimming in ocean, precautions should be taken, as there is an increased risk of getting jellyfish sting or harm from any other aquatic animal.</p>
